About The Organization
Askiy Karbon was founded with the vision of harmonizing traditional Indigenous wisdom with modern solutions to tackle the pressing issue of climate change.
The term “Askiy,” which means Earth in nêhiyawêwin (Cree), embodies our commitment to the planet and its well-being.
Our journey began with a profound understanding of the environmental challenges posed by climate change coupled with the need for economic reconciliation with Indigenous communities.
Askiy Karbon has marked several key milestones, including the establishment of our Carbon Trading Network, Projects and Investments, and the Indigenous Compliance Network. These initiatives underscore our dedication to creating a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
Our Mission
At Askiy Karbon, our mission is to take meaningful climate action that fosters sustainable systems while advancing Indigenous economic reconciliation through strategic partnerships with businesses and industries. We are dedicated to respecting the Earth that sustains us and ensuring our actions contribute positively to the environment and our communities.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be the leading force in building projects with a positive environmental impact within Canada, integrating Indigenous ways of knowing into sustainable project development and business partnerships. We aim to improve our land, our people, and our collective prosperity, creating a future where economic growth and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.

Askiy will develop a carbon trading network to support our customers to advance their climate change goals and compliance requirements.
Askiy will support Indigenous communities by creating a compliance network that they can apply to all business opportunities to manage the carbon footprint of their partnerships.
Partnership and Indigenous Ownership
Partnership
Askiy Karbon stands out for its unique approach to partnerships and Indigenous ownership. We believe that true progress is achieved through collaboration and mutual respect. Our initiatives, such as sustainable project development, Carbon Trading Network and Indigenous Compliance Network, are designed to support Indigenous communities in managing their carbon footprints and achieving their sustainability goals.
Indigenous Ownership
By aligning modern technology with Indigenous knowledge, we ensure that our projects not only benefit the environment but also provide economic opportunities for our Indigenous partners. This approach allows us to create a balanced and respectful pathway towards environmental and economic wellness, fostering a legacy of unity and shared prosperity.
We are a 51% indigenous owned business that includes the Metis Settlements Development Corporation and Asokan Generational Developments.
We partnered with Karbon X, the global leader in carbon offsetting. Trusted by celebrities, professional athletes, pro sports leagues, indigenous groups, and publicly traded corporations. More than 17,000 people have installed Karbon-X since launch and our online community totals over 35,000.
